The Pink Panther (1963)

Amusing, slow-paced, and atmospheric farce that charmingly and successfully combines relatively simple but effective comedy—there are some very funny scenes in this classic film—with elements of a detective story. Peter Sellers is perfect in the role of Inspector Jacques Clouseau; David Niven gives a strong performance as Sir Charles Lytton, who was originally intended to be the main character in the movie.
