Narc (2002)

This solid, stylistically accomplished crime drama has a grittily realistic feel to it, which is established right away by the intense, attention-grabbing opening sequence. Jason Patric and Ray Liotta are great. The film is more about the characters than the plot, and it is unexpectedly unconventional at times.
