Without a Trace: "White Balance"
This episode has an excellent ending (you shouldn't read this blog post if you haven't seen the episode and do not wish to learn how it ends). Here is the synopsis of the episode from TV.com:
Jack finds himself in the hotseat when a young white woman and a young black man, go missing on the same night and Jack is ordered to put more of the team's resources into finding the young woman.
At the end of the episode we find out that one of the missing teens is alive and the other is dead. My first thought at that point was, It would be really interesting if we do not find out which one is alive and which one is dead, but that is probably not something those responsible for the series would do. Before Agent Malone started walking down the hall to tell the mothers of the two teens the outcome of the cases, I thought, They should end the episode with Malone walking toward the moms, without letting us know who is alive and who is dead.
Well, it turns out that is exactly what they did.
